Card Values In Baccarat

Card value is an important aspect of every Baccarat game and can potentially have a great bearing on how well you do.

It is easy enough to determine the value of a particular hand in Baccarat. You can arrive at this simply by adding the values of each of the individual cards in your hand.

Keep in mind that the tens and the face cards always have a value of zero, and the number of “pips”? on all the other cards determines their values. Also remember that only the last digit of the total values is used in determining the value of a hand in Baccarat. This means that all baccarat hands can only have values that range from 0 to 9. Obviously, the hand that has the higher value will win. In the event that two or more hands have the same value, the Baccarat game will end in a tie.

There are a few other rules that will govern the value of a particular hand. If you get a hand in baccarat that has a value of 8 or 9 for example, it is called a “natural.” Anyone who holds a natural hand in baccarat has to show it to the rest of the table, and the baccarat game is effectively over.
